Purposes

Vision of EC Resources, LTD.

To support and facilitate emergency, disaster and public service-related communication systems and services provided by Amateur (HAM) Radio Operators through the Amateur Radio Emergency Service and the Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service to government agencies, the general public and private disaster relief organizations.

This means EC Resources was formed to provide equipment and systems which can be used by ARES and RACES organizations and members to provide assistance to public and private disaster relief organizations. Examples of these organizations are local County Emergency Management, the Red Cross and the National Weather Service.

Systems provided at this time include:

146.655 MHz 2-meter VHF repeater system, serving Outagamie County and the Fox Cities area. This is our main and ARES repeater in the area.
145.150 MHz 2-meter VHF repeater system, serving Appleton WI and well into the surrounding areas. Thanks to Thedacare for providing this high profile repeater location.
442.125 MHz Portable 70-centimeter UHF repeater, for portable emergency use situations. This is housed in the communications trailer, but can be used at remote locations as well if needed.
A Mobile Response Unit, for emergency and other remote operations. This is a shared trailer with the Outagamie County Emergency Management office. Many thanks to them for helping us out with this joint venture.

Our 146.655 MHz repeater has two remote receive sites to improve HT access into the repeater. The picture on the left is our remote receive site antennas in Neenah Wisconsin. We also have a remote receive site in Hortonville Wisconsin, both of which are linked back to the main RX/TX site located several miles north of Appleton Wisconsin.
